1. About ifelt

ifelt (accessible at ifelt.online) is an anonymous social platform that allows users to share feelings, thoughts, and emotions in 140 characters or less. The platform operates on the principle of ephemerality — posts automatically expire and are permanently deleted.

ifelt is operated from India and is classified as a Social Media Intermediary under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 ("IT Rules 2021").

By accessing or using ifelt, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

  • a. You must be at least 18 years of age, or at least 13 years of age with verifiable parental/guardian consent, to use ifelt.
  • b. By using ifelt, you represent that you meet the age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
  • c. If you are accessing ifelt from outside India, you are responsible for compliance with your local laws.

3. Account & Authentication

ifelt uses Google OAuth 2.0 for authentication. When you sign in:

  • a. We receive your email address and basic Google profile information solely for authentication purposes.
  • b. Your email is never displayed publicly on the platform.
  • c. You choose an anonymous display name during profile setup. This is the only identity visible on your posts.
  • d. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account used to access ifelt.
  • e. One Google account = one ifelt profile. Multiple accounts for the same user are not permitted.

4. Plans & Pricing

Free Plan — ₹0

No Refund Policy

All purchases on ifelt are final and non-refundable. This includes but is not limited to: unused subscription time, account suspension due to Terms violation, voluntary account deletion, change of mind, or dissatisfaction with the service. This policy is in accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, as digital services are consumed immediately upon purchase. We strongly recommend using the free tier before purchasing.

Payments are processed securely via Razorpay (PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant). We never store your card details. All prices include applicable taxes.

5. Prohibited Content & Conduct

As an intermediary under Section 79 of the IT Act 2000 and Rule 3 of IT Rules 2021, ifelt maintains strict content moderation policies. The following content is strictly prohibited on ifelt, and violation will result in immediate and permanent account suspension without refund:

5.1 Sexual & Obscene Content

As per Section 67, 67A, and 67B of the IT Act 2000:

  • • Sexually explicit or pornographic content of any kind
  • • Obscene material as defined under Section 292 of the Indian Penal Code
  • • Content depicting, promoting, or soliciting sexual acts
  • • Content sexualizing minors in any form (ZERO TOLERANCE — reported to NCPCR and law enforcement under POCSO Act 2012)
  • • Revenge porn, non-consensual intimate imagery
  • • Sexually suggestive content involving real or fictional minors

Penalty: Up to 5 years imprisonment and ₹10 lakh fine under IT Act. 7 years under POCSO.

5.2 Violence, Threats & Harm

As per Section 66A (read with subsequent amendments), 506, 507 IPC, and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023:

  • • Direct or indirect threats of violence against any individual or group
  • • Content glorifying, inciting, or promoting violence
  • • Content promoting terrorism or supporting terrorist organizations (UAPA 1967)
  • • Content encouraging self-harm, suicide, or dangerous activities
  • • Graphic descriptions of violence or gore
  • • Doxxing — sharing personal information to endanger someone
  • • Content promoting or glorifying substance abuse

5.3 Political, Communal & Divisive Content

As per IT Rules 2021 (Rule 3(1)(b)) and relevant provisions of IPC/BNS:

  • • Political propaganda, campaigning, or partisan messaging
  • • Content that threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security, or sovereignty of India
  • • Content that promotes enmity between groups on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex, or place of birth (Section 153A IPC / Section 196 BNS)
  • • Communal hatred or content intended to disturb public order
  • • Fake news or misinformation that could cause public harm
  • • Content defaming any religion, religious belief, or religious figure
  • • Election-related content or political endorsements
  • • Content disrespecting the national flag, national anthem, or Constitution of India

5.4 Hate Speech, Harassment & Bullying

  • • Hate speech targeting any individual or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, caste, or nationality
  • • Cyberbullying, intimidation, or repeated harassment
  • • Stalking behavior (Section 354D IPC / IT Act Section 66A provisions)
  • • Casteist slurs or untouchability-promoting content (SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act 1989)
  • • Misogynistic or gender-based harassment
  • • Content promoting discrimination of any kind

5.5 Privacy Violations & Identity

As per DPDP Act 2023 and IT Rules 2021:

  • • Sharing any personally identifiable information (PII) of yourself or others — names, phone numbers, addresses, Aadhaar numbers, social media handles
  • • Impersonating another person or entity
  • • Attempting to de-anonymize other users
  • • Sharing private conversations, screenshots, or confidential information
  • • Content that violates any person's right to privacy under Article 21 of the Constitution

5.6 Spam, Fraud & Manipulation

  • • Spam, repetitive posting, or flooding the feed
  • • Commercial advertising, solicitation, or promotional content
  • • Phishing links, malware, or deceptive URLs
  • • Scams, fraud, or misleading financial advice (SEBI Act provisions)
  • • Manipulation of platform features (automated posting, bots, scripts)
  • • Cryptocurrency/NFT promotion or financial solicitation

5.7 Intellectual Property

  • • Content that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights (Copyright Act 1957)
  • • Unauthorized reproduction of copyrighted material

Account Suspension Policy

Violation of any of the above rules will result in:

  • 1st Offense:Post removal + warning notification on your account.
  • 2nd Offense:Temporary account suspension (7 days). All posts hidden.
  • 3rd Offense:Permanent account ban. All data deleted. No refund on paid plans.
  • Severe Offense:Immediate permanent ban + report to law enforcement (CERT-In, Cyber Crime Cell) as required under IT Act Section 79(3)(b).

ifelt reserves the right to suspend accounts at its sole discretion. Appeals can be sent to support@ifelt.online within 7 days.

6. User Content & License

  • a. You retain ownership of the content you post on ifelt.
  • b. By posting, you grant ifelt a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display and distribute your content on the platform until it expires.
  • c. When other users "Felt" (repost) your content, it creates a new post with attribution to your anonymous name. You consent to this redistribution.
  • d. Once a post expires (24 hours for free, 14 days for premium), it is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our servers. No backups are maintained.

7. AI Writing Enhancer (Premium Feature)

  • a. The AI Writing Enhancer is available only to Premium and Yearly plan subscribers.
  • b. Your text is sent to a third-party AI service for enhancement. The text is processed in real-time and not stored or used for AI training.
  • c. You are solely responsible for the final content you publish, whether AI-enhanced or not. AI enhancement does not exempt content from our Prohibited Content rules.
  • d. ifelt does not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or appropriateness of AI-enhanced text.

8. Grievance Redressal (IT Rules 2021)

In compliance with Rule 3(2) and Rule 4 of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021:

Response Time: Within 24 hours of receipt. Resolution within 15 days as mandated by IT Rules 2021.

For content takedown requests, provide: (i) description of the content, (ii) URL/identifier if available, (iii) reason for takedown, (iv) your contact information. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve within 15 days.

9. Cooperation with Law Enforcement

  • a. ifelt will cooperate with Indian law enforcement agencies, courts, and government authorities as required under the IT Act 2000 and IT Rules 2021.
  • b. We will provide user information (including email and IP addresses) to authorized government agencies upon receipt of a valid legal order or request under Section 69/69A of the IT Act.
  • c. We will remove content within 36 hours of receiving an order from the appropriate government agency or court under Section 69A.
  • d. We report content related to child sexual abuse material (CSAM) to NCPCR and law enforcement immediately upon detection.

10. Account Deletion

  • a. You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page.
  • b. Deletion is permanent and irreversible. All your posts, reposts, profile data, and associated records are immediately erased.
  • c. No subscription credit or refund is provided upon voluntary account deletion.
  • d. Accounts suspended for Terms violations are deleted after 30 days. Data is retained for 90 days for law enforcement cooperation, then permanently destroyed.

11. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

  • a. ifelt is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • b. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, data preservation beyond the stated expiry periods, or fitness for a particular purpose.
  • c. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim.
  • d. ifelt is not responsible for content posted by users. As an intermediary under Section 79 of the IT Act, we are not liable for third-party content when we comply with due diligence requirements.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

  • a. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
  • b. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
  • c. We encourage amicable resolution of disputes. Contact support@ifelt.online before pursuing legal action.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of ifelt after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The latest version will always be available at ifelt.online/terms.

14. Contact Information

This document constitutes a legally binding agreement between you and ifelt. By using the platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms in their entirety.
